In Q4 2016, Woodway Energy acquired Enterprise Texas Pipeline, LLC’s 125-mile Buda-Hallettsville Pipeline (Bluebonnet).
The team strategically reconfigured the pipeline into five distinct operating systems and built new interconnects, adding approximately 15 miles of pipe.
Today, the Bluebonnet Pipeline is approximately 140 miles of mainly 6” diameter intrastate high-pressure gas transmission pipeline traversing Bastrop, Colorado, Lee, Fayette, and Lavaca Counties serving gas utility and industrial customers in the Texas communities of Elgin, Bastrop, Smithville, Giddings, LaGrange, Weimar, Schulenburg, and Hallettsville.
(Comal Pipeline System)
In Q3 2015, Woodway Energy completed construction and currently owns and operates 10 miles of 6” high-pressure intrastate natural gas pipeline in Comal County, Texas. The system supplies gas to utility and industrial customers from New Braunfels to Selma, Texas.
Woodway Bluebonnet Replacement Project
In Q1 2021, Woodway Energy began developing and constructing approximately 42 miles of primarily 6” diameter pipe to expand the Bluebonnet Pipeline System for future growth and reliability.
The team is working closely with the utility customer to identify operating complexities associated with aging infrastructure and deliver a safe and reliable system for the benefit of the customer and the community it serves.
The project is proceeding across 3 phases with expected completion in Q2 2023.
