Bluebonnet Pipeline

The Bluebonnet Pipeline system consists of a total of approximately 179 miles of intrastate high-pressure gas transmission pipeline, traversing Bastrop, Colorado, Lee, Fayette, and Lavaca Counties, serving gas utility and industrial customers in the Texas communities of Elgin, Bastrop, Smithville, Giddings, LaGrange, Weimar, Schulenburg, and Hallettsville.


In 2023, the Bluebonnet Pipeline completed an expansion project which consisted of the development and construction of approximately 42 miles of primarily 6” diameter pipeline, which was carried out in 3 distinct phases, and completed ahead of schedule and under budget.

Texas Pipeline (Comal Pipeline System)

In Q3 2015, Woodway Energy completed construction and currently owns and operates 10 miles of 6” high-pressure intrastate natural gas pipeline in Comal County, Texas. The system supplies gas to utility and industrial customers from New Braunfels to Selma, Texas.

Woodway Energy Completes Bluebonnet System Project Phases 1-3

In Q1 2021, Woodway Energy began developing and constructing approximately 42 miles of primarily 6” diameter pipe to expand the Bluebonnet Pipeline System for future growth and reliability.​
The team is working closely with the utility customer to identify operating complexities associated with aging infrastructure and deliver a safe and reliable system for the benefit of the customer and the community it serves.​
The project is proceeding across 3 phases with expected completion in Q2 2023.
